Message dated April 16 was read stating the House passed and                                                                    
returned for consideration CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 279(FIN)                                                                      
"An Act relating to regulation of residential mortgage lending,                                                                 
including the licensing of mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, and                                                              
mortgage loan originators, and compliance with certain federal laws                                                             
relating to residential mortgage lending; and providing for an effective

Senator Ellis moved that the Senate concur in the House amendment.                                                              
                                                                                                                                
The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House

licensing of mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, and mortgage loan                                                              
originators, and compliance with certain federal laws relating to                                                               
residential mortgage lending; and providing for an effective date."                                                             
                                                                                                                                
Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on                                                                
concurrence be considered the vote on the effective date clauses.
